Located at the frontier with Spain, at 1,5 km from the right bank of the River Guadina.
Neolitic tools, dolmens and luso-roman pottery, have been found indicating the origins could be at the beginning of the Bronze Age.

Castro Marim está situada na fronteira com Espanha, a 1,5 Km da margem esquerda do rio Guadiana.
Foram aqui emcontrados instrumentos neolíticos, dolmens e peças de cerâmica luso-romana, indicando que as suas origens podem situar-se nos princípios da Idade do Bronze.
