Located within the well-known Quinta do Lago estate this course enjoys a good reputation. Within the golfing world it is known as providing a mental challenge due to well placed hazards. The outward nine-holes are played down rolling fairways lined with pine trees. The back nine-holes bring a lot of interesting water hazards into play. An attractive hole is the seventeenth with its green sitting on an island surrounded by its water.
With the introduction of the island green 17th hole and the new Par 5 12th hole the Pinheiros Altos course is quikely developing its reputation as a «must» course to play when in Algarve.
